Wales is one of the four countries in the United Kingdom and home to some of the most unique BMX parks in the UK. There are a number of great parks in the area!
Bryn Bach Park BMX Track is one such park. Its nearest town is Nantybwch, and it has an 8.40 rating out of 10. It is the international standard in BMX parks with a breathtaking 350m course that is surging with opportunities for BMX riders. It has jumps, berms, and turns that will make your head spin and continue to designate and set aside this park as the standard by which to measure all other competition. It is located in South Wales and is also called the Dragon Downhill as well. The park itself is well stocked with the following significant differences that set it aside from other parks like public liability insurance, employers liability insurance, construction insurance, plant insurance, CIBT/CPCS licenses, VAT registration, CIS registration, and CHAS accredited and included on CHAS scheme database. It is also in close association with British Cycling and is regularly inspected by ROSPA. This is a park you can trust because they take every precise measure to ensure that people are safe when using it. There is no stone left unturned, literally on the track, and metaphorically in the sense of safety to detract from this being the best BMX spot there is.
Some other local trails worth checking out in the area include Mountain Ash DH Trail, Twrch Trail, Cwmcarn Skills/Freeride Trail, Y Mynydd Mojo DH Track, Caerphilly Trails, Llantrisant DH Trails, Castle Coch Woods, Llanishen Skatepark, Cwmbran Skatepark, and CMX Center.
Tredegar BMX Track is also a very good brand new BMX Track is that is designed and built in collaboration with the Welsh Cycling Union. The needs of everyone from beginners to experienced and professional riders will be met. The Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council set it up alongside the Welsh Cycling Union. They wanted to created a national standard BMX track at Parc Bryn Bach. The people, organizations, and groups funding the project include the Sports Council of Wales Sportlot Scheme and the Welsh Assembly Government. Moreover, Parc Bryn Bach is also set up extremely well for other cycling attractions and makes for a great place for a cycling holiday.
Unfortunately, one local BMX park was shut down for the reasons of crime, and the current site is being used by drug dealers. The BMX park was being fed up with vandalism and crime. There is so much crime that it was announced to be shut down as part of the crackdown on crime. This poor skatepark faced the axe over crime and hundreds of BMX riders were unfairly kicked out.
