The BMX parks in this region are legendary. Birmingham, after all, is the second most populous city in Britain. Furthermore, there are several BMX parks in outlying, rural areas. Redditch Skatepark is one such skatepark. It’s one of the world’s largest outdoor skateparks with a huge community following. It caters to all three sports of BMX biking, inline skating, and skateboarding. It covers an area of around 36,000 square feet for what turned out to be a monumental skatepark in the vein of some of the best ones around the world. It’s been designed by local skaters and BMX riders to function especially well for all kinds of tricks, turns, and flips that can only be accomplished on a BMX park course. It works in partnership with the Redditch Borough Council to get it set up. They are a supervised skatepark with refreshments sold on the side too. There are annual events, competitions, and riding sessions that are unique to the skatepark. All in all, this is one of the most progressive skateparks in the UK, and it’s located in the heart of one of the UK’s most populous cities. What could be better than that for BMX riders everywhere?

There is also a new BMX park being built in Mount Pleasant Park, Smithpool Road, Fenton that was built in four weeks and designed for young cyclists. Volunteers from the illustrious and esteemed TA’s 125 field squadron helped build the track as a response to inundation by park users. The metal skate ramps were not adequate for the bikes so the track was requested to be built. Right now, there is still some more drainage work being done on the track, but after that, it should be built. This great cycle path is built all around the city for young people, and they can learn about it all by going around this fantastic track over and over again. The Tour of Britain is also taking part as a part of this track.

The Redditch Skate BMX Park at Stratford-upon-Avon has a profusion of metal ramps set up in a BMX paradise for all the young people that like to ride their BMX bikes there. There are dozens of ramps, and even children that are under 18 can ride the ramps if they have a parent’s permission slip. Moreover, the extent to which the people can use the park is only limited to abiding by the park rules, which are few. It is a very laissez-faire atmosphere where people can just be themselves and skate to their heart’s content. You have to sign a membership consent form before you join though. The reason is that you could be eligible for a lawsuit if you fall down and hurt yourself. No one wants a lawsuit so the park makes you sign a consent form.
