Scott Genius 50 Mountain Bike

Scott Genius 50 2011 Mountain Bike

Scott Genius 50

Amongst full suspension bikes the Scott Genius 50 is one to watch thanks to its heritage and fresh selection of components, making its 2011 revision a cutting edge piece of engineering. For racing enthusiasts this will definitely be an asset and a tool, although this might be at the expense of those who are a little less interested in getting on the podium.

The Scott Genius 50 2011 mountain bike is all about providing flexibility and adjustability. This is not just reflected in the fact that it will absorb bumps and impacts due to its fork and shock suspension, but also because both are arranged to be adjustable. The Scott Equaliser 2 TC shock offers the rider the chance to select one of three settings for travel using a handlebar-mounted lever, whilst the fork from RockShox can be varied to allow 120 mm to 150mm of travel.

Like many cyclists, I've been riding since I was very young and despite now being less-young, I love it just as much. I've done my time on road bikes, have cycled throughout the UK, including Lands End to John O' Groats (yes, uphill!) and now have fun on a mountain bike, in the hills and doing charity bike rides.
