Scott Scale 60 Mountain Bike

Scott Scale 60 2011 Mountain Bike

Scott Scale 60 Overview

The Scott Scale 60 is back for the 2011 season and it cuts a dashing figure with its racing set up that seems to be leaping forward with urgency even when it is not moving. It also benefits from a wealth of technology that provides a boost to basic performance without weighing it down with bells and whistles, so for a focused racing experience it is a definite contender in this price bracket.

Scott seems to put a lot more of its own-brand components onto bikes, which sit slightly lower down the scale than the very top of the line racers. This seems odd to me, as it suggests an unfounded lack of confidence in its own products, which is definitely misplaced because the performance of the Scott Scale 60 2011 mountain bike is very impressive. It is light, lithe and easy to handle, which is something that can’t always be said about bikes three times this price.

Out of personal preference I would opt for the Scott Scale 60 2011 mountain bike finished with a red frame picked out with white branding and swooshes. You can also opt for a black and white frame, which is a little less confrontational in its styling but also less special in my opinion. The build quality is very good, from the handlebars to the pedals, allowing you to feel comfortable with the notion of taking the bike out for a spin as soon as you have taken delivery.

Like many cyclists, I've been riding since I was very young and despite now being less-young, I love it just as much. I've done my time on road bikes, have cycled throughout the UK, including Lands End to John O' Groats (yes, uphill!) and now have fun on a mountain bike, in the hills and doing charity bike rides.
