Specialized P.Slope Mountain Bike Revealed for 2013

Specialized has built up an excellent reputation for its range of mountain bikes over the years and the new P.Slope model, which is getting refreshed for 2013, looks to be another worthy arrival.

The P.Slope is a singlespeed machine, although Specialized is going to make the retail bundle adaptive enough so that the new model can be endowed with a rear derailleur if desired.

In the near term it looks like this new model will only be available with one frame size and the geometry very much looks to take its cues from traditional BMX style setups.

At the front a RockShox RCT fork will help to deliver a total frame travel of 100mm, while the rear shock come from the Monarch range produced by the same manufacturer.

Specialized is looking to launch the P.Slope for public consumption in October 2012 and it also has a bevy of other new bikes lined up and ready to roll.

Specialized will also be rolling out two new helmets designed for mountain biking this Autumn, according to BikeRadar. The first is the Dissident, which is aimed at downhill riders and offers a light weight build as well as a few new colour options to keep fans happy.

The second is the Tactic 2, which is an altogether new product and is intended to be an affordable choice for all-mountain riders.

Finally, if you pick either a Stumpjumper or Demo 8 mountain bike from Specialized’s 2013 range then you will have the option of choosing frame decals and detailing created by Troy Lee Designs.
