Scott CR1 Road Bike Range Review
The Scott CR1 range of road bikes is all about comfort and composure during long distance leisure rides, with carbon frames and vibration-damping tubing helping to prevent rider fatigue. Perfect for sportives or audax rides.
Scott CR1 30
The CR1 30 gets an IMP carbon mainframe, making it tough and light at the same time, with intelligent S-bend construction actively reducing road rumble without removing stiffness for the purposes of acceleration. A carbon fork is also included, along with a Shimano Sora drivetrain and brakeset.
The Syncros RR2.5 seatpost is topped with the XR2.5 saddle, with Syncros Race 27 Aero Profile rims and Schwalbe Lugano tyres composing the wheelset.
Scott CR1 20
The carbon frame with Road Comfort geometry returns for the CR1 20, with a Shimano Tiagra and 105 drivetrain keeping the bike light and allowing for quick, consistent gear shifts.
You get a carbon seatpost on this model, while the wheelset is lighter thanks to the use of Shimano WH R501-A rims and spokes.
Scott CR1 10
The Scott CR1 10 has a carbon frame, fork and steerer, with a Shimano Ultegra drivetrain and BR-R561 brakes at the front and rear.
A light and responsive Syncros RR2.0 handlebar is found upfront, with a carbon seatpost and comfortable seat also contributed by this reputable manufacturer.
Shimano WH RS11-A hubs, spokes and rims are used in the wheelset, along with Schwalbe Durano S tyres which are tough enough to withstand various road surfaces, including perilous cobbles.
The CR1 10 is the lightest bike in the range and like its siblings is intended for use both in races and for casual rides which will involve covering great distances in the course of a day. So whether you are getting involved in a competition or just looking for a bike to take on a cycling tour, this is an appropriate choice.
