The Trek 7000 aims to be great on concrete, cobbles, gravel, mud and everything in between. It is a hybrid bike in the purest sense of the word, taking the best bits of mountain bikes, road bikes and upright bikes and combining them in one affordable package. It is obviously not going out of its way to conquer every terrain in the fastest possible time but it is a born all-rounder, with a robust design and excellent array of components that will give it the edge over its other hybrid rivals.

Trek 7000 Overview

The backbone of the Trek 7000 is provided by its aluminium frame. This is a premium article, which will not be hard to lug around and will also withstand all the impacts that you would expect it to tackle in daily life. With Tektro brakes and Shimano gears it can mount an assault against an off road course, even if you are only riding it along a local footpath or seeking a shortcut through the park on your way home from work. Whilst it may not be used on any other surface than tarmac by many riders it will still have the ability to perform well wherever it is put to work.

The Trek 7000 is available with a silver colour scheme detailed with some black decals. This blends in nicely with the exposed suspension of the SR Suntour fork and lets the bike look suitably easy on the eye without opting for a drab black or overly bright paint job, as is the case with certain other bikes. Whilst this bike is definitely ready for rough surfaces it will also provide a good degree of comfort if you want to enjoy a smooth, silky ride. If this is going to be used regularly then you will come to enjoy this feature more than any other.
