Trek Session Mountain Bikes Review
If you are a fan of pointing a mountain bike downhill and seeing what happens, the Trek Session range might contain the right model for you. Capable of keeping you in one piece, these bikes are designed to be fast and agile in hazardous environments where gravity is your biggest enemy.
Trek Session 8
The Alpha Platinum Aluminium frame of the Session 8 has an intelligent suspension setup that consists of a RockShox Boxxer Race fork at the front and a Fox Performance Series Van RC shock at the rear. The Active Braking Pivot system means that hitting the brakes will not suddenly result in the suspension getting a bit too stiff for comfort, which is a big selling point of this entire range.
SRAM X7 shifters, SRAM X9 derailleur and a Truativ Descent crank make up the drivetrain, while Avid Code R hydraulic disc brakes complete the racing setup.

Trek Session 9.9
The Trek Session 9.9 is equipped with a daunting list of kit, all affixed to its OCLV Mountain Carbon frame. A Fox Factory Series 40 FIT fork comes with Kashima coating, which is also present on the Factory Series DHX RC4 rear shock.
The Shimano Saint Shadow Plus drivetrain can take the punishment it will be dealt, with brakes from the same range also onboard. The top-of-the-range Shimano Saint is used very rarely and the Session is a perfect host.
The Bontrager Evoke 3 sits on titanium rails and is light as well as comfortable, while the Rhythm Elite seatpost and Rhythm Pro Carbon handlebar are a good fit for this model.
