Born in France, the Vitus name is rich in cycling history, having links to some of the most famous cycling names in the sport. The iconic Vitus 979 and Carbon frames were some of the most revolutionary of their time. Well, Vitus are back with an all new line up of bikes.
This year sees the re-emergence of Vitus with an entirely new range of road bikes and mountain bikes which have been designed from scratch for the needs of today’s cyclists. Using the latest frame materials and components, the bikes reflect the ever-evolving nature of the sport providing riders of different disciplines a range of bikes that blend performance, quality and value. The six model road range includes alloy and carbon framed bikes ranging from £649.99 to £2199.99.
The road range starts with the Razor; an alloy frame with Shimano Sora components, providing the perfect introduction to road bikes at £649.00. Those wanting to take their riding up a level have the Zenium with Shimano Tiagra at £799.99.
Longer distance leisure riders are catered for with the carbon framed Dark Plasma with Tiagra at £1149.99 rising to the VR model with 105 at £1499.99. For more serious competition, the top end of the scale features the flagship models the Venon VR and Vitesse VR. Both feature a super high modulus carbon frame and fork with a 3K weave and a choice of either Shimano 105 or Ultegra groupsets, including corresponding wheelsets, at £1799.99 and £2199.99 respectively.
Finally, if you want a simple, reliable, no-fuss bike, the singlespeed VEE-1 at £259.99 is the perfect bike for morning commutes, pub runs or weekend towpath spins.
Vitus Bikes Nucleus 0.1

Vitus Bikes Nucleus 0.2
The Nucleus 0.2 is a bike that reflects the progression of mountain bike design as well as of a rider’s own skills. Vitus Bikes Optimum I
Although its natural habitat lies between the starting line and the winner’s podium, don’t let its racing pedigree fool you into thinking it’s a one-trick pony. The Optimum is also a steed happy to accompany you on all-day epics in the hills and Sunday spins with your clubmates.
Vitus Bikes Optimum II
The Optimum II shares the same custom-moulded high-modulus carbon fibre frame as the Optimum 1 and the same singularity of purpose – hunting down competitors and passing them in a blur.
Vitus Bikes Optimum III
The Optimum III is the flagship cross-country race machine we’ve chosen only the very best components available today to grace a frame that carries on the Vitus heritage of innovation in design. The Optimum III is an elite-level bike for elite-level cross-country racers, built with one purpose in mind – to get you on top of the winner’s podium.
Vitus Bikes Zircon 0.1
Top talking point is the Zircon’s 20-speed transmission – a departure from the 27-speed gearing that is the norm among its peers but a feature we believe offers a considerably better rider experience, with lighter weight thanks to a two-ring chainset, a gear ratio designed specifically for the unique demands of off-road riding and easier shifting in adverse conditions.
Vitus Bikes Zircon 0.2
Built around the same triple-butted, heat-treated 7.46 aluminium alloy frame as its namesake, the Zircon 0.2 however ups the ante when it comes to specifications, with a Rockshox Recon RL fork offering 120mm of buttery smooth travel up front, a robust but lightweight WTB wheelset for snappy acceleration and Avid Elixir 5 brakes for precise application of stopping power.
