The Scott Scale Premium 2011 mountain bike is all about focus, performance and speed over any terrain, so it is no surprise to see that it packs an MTB carbon frame, which couples featherweight lightness with strong construction. The design of the bike is not as flashy as some of the other top of the line Scott models, with reserved grey and black hues belying the capabilities of this beast.
Scott has harvested components from some of the most renowned manufacturers in the market, from Shimano to Fox, so the whole thing feels a little like a collaborative effort without every suffering because of its disparate parts. The price of this bike will put it out of reach for many but serious racers who want a competitive edge will be willing to make the investment.
